Leger Holidays is launching a new Battlefields brochure to coincide with the 90th anniversary of end of World War One.
The operator has introduced two tours visiting the sites and memorials of the last 100 days of the war. Also new for 2008 is a seven day holiday studying some of the activities of the British Commandos and American Rangers from the beginning of the war through to D-Day.
The new brochure also has extended availability on World War Two, Waterloo and Falklands War breaks.
Reduced family rates are available on selected tours during the school holidays, including the ‘All Quiet on the Western Front’ and ‘D-Day landings in Normany’ options.
Retail sales director Paul Raynor said: “Because of the anniversary and an increased interest in family history, 2008 is expected to by our biggest year for sales of battlefield tours.”
