Travelscope spends £250,000 on cruise ship makeover

Travelscope has invested more than £250,000 on a makeover for its cruise ship, MV Van Gogh.

The ship has upgraded its furniture and carpets in suites, a makeover of cabins, public lounges and the reception area.

The ship, which was introduced to the UK market has also replaced the casino and slot machines with a lounge, card room and a photography shop.

Van Gogh has recently departed from Falmouth on its 85-day world cruise which ends on January 4 2008.

Travelscope Ocean Cruising general manager Emma Ward said: “Together with the refurbishments and the customised guide, we wanted to make the Van Gogh’s second world cruise an unforgettable experience for our passengers.”
