The Co-operative Travel Group has appointed Sheena Darby as head of its homeworking division, Future Travel.
Darby was previously commercial and marketing manager for Future Travel and will take up her new role on December 17. She will report to The Co-Operative Travel Group director of distribution Alistair Rowland who formerly headed up the homeworking division before the merger of United Co-operatives and The Co-operative Group earlier this year.
Future Travel has nearly 600 members and has recently announced plans to grow the network by at least 100 homeworkers in the next year.
Darby said: “2008 will be a pivotal year for Future Travel as we look to achieve significant progress in our financial performance. Homeworking is a highly competitive marketplace and I will be working closely with the management team to ensure we remain the number one homeworking business in the UK.”
Rowland added: “Sheena has extensive knowledge of our organisation through her previous role and has a clear understanding of the pivotal strategic role that she will play in leading the management team to an even stronger performace in the coming years.”
