Travel Counsellors has announced that it will now pay commission to its agents fortnightly rather than each month.
The company, which has more than 860 home-based agents, said it is giving its travel counsellors their commission every two weeks to give them more frequent cash flow.
The new scheme has been launched in the UK and Ireland and will be rolled out to its overseas agents in the next few months.
County Down travel counsellor Coleen Matovu said: “This is a great benefit. I am now able to get my money more quickly and can also receive money that would not normally be paid until the following month.”
Travel Counsellors managing director Steve Byrne said: “We have introduced this benefit to counsellors so that they have a more regular cash flow through their businesses. It also means commissions due will be gaining interest in their bank accounts rather than ours. We believe strongly in introducing initiatives that will support our travel counsellors and help them grow their businesses.”
