Travel Counsellors has achieved its best sales in the company’s 14-year history by topping £1 million on five consecutive days.
The sales record, achieved last week, peaked with its best sales day to date on Friday January 11 when sales reached £1.5 million for 740 bookings, with average booking values at £2020. This beat its previous best sales day by more than £160,000 on the same day last year. The company’s second best day was yesterday, January 14, with sales of more than £1.3 million.
During last week, sales reached an average of £120,000 per hour, with £215,000 of the total each day sold through Travel Counsellors’ dynamic packaging system Phenix. On Friday Phenix accommodation sales also hit a record high, with sales of more than £140,000.
Chairman David Speakman said: “There is no doom and gloom as far as we are concerned. There is loads of business out there.”
