The ABTA board has chosen Gran Canaria as the location for this year’s Travel Convention.
The destination is believed to have been chosen over Tunisia at an ABTA board meeting yesterday, subject to acceptable flight times being provided. It is thought the conference will be held at a venue in Mas Palomas.
It is also understood the convention could be held in mid-October this year. Traditionally the conference is held in November.
An ABTA spokeswoman would not confirm the location or dates. She added: “The location will be announced on Monday but the decision has been made subject to various checks and confirmations.”
