Heathrow reopens south runway after BA crash

Heathrow is back to operating two runways, but there continue to be delays to some services following an emergency landing by a British Airways flight from Beijing today.

The airport’s second runway was closed for two hours after the aircraft missed the runway and landed on its belly.

Three of the 136 passengers and 16 crew suffered minor injuries.

Passengers due to fly from Heathrow are advised to contact their airline for details of any delay. Some arriving flights continue to be diverted to other London airports.
