Travel Weekly relaunches its online training academy

Travel Weekly has relaunched its online training service for travel agents.

TWacademy builds on the success of the original Travel Weekly Academies – which awarded well over 10,000 certificates to agents – adding supplier and destination Information Zones with news, videos, FAQs and more.

Training courses are faster and more accessible, and allow agents to print off a certificate immediately after they pass.

Travel Weekly’s online editor Martin Couzins said: “The new academy is very interactive and is full of useful destination and product information. Agents should find it easy to use – it will really will help develop product knowledge and ultimately sell more holidays.”

Worlds of Discovery head of sales UK and Ireland Simon Parry, a winner at the TWacademy Training Course at the Globe travel Awards 2008, said: “The new site adds a welcome interactive dimension to the programme.

“We have been able to tailor the new version of the academy to focus on what travel agents really need to know about Worlds of Discovery. The modules give inside information and selling techniques that will help close the sale and secure that much needed additional revenue.”

All training courses in the academy are accredited by the Institute of Travel and Tourism.

TW Academy training courses are available from: Hawaii, Morocco, North carolina, Valencia, Secrets Resorts and Spas, Couples Resorts, Intercontinental Asia Pacific, Sunset resorts, Tourism Ireland, Enjoy England, Sunscape Resorts and Spas, Dreams Resorts and Spas, Hurtigruten.
