Holiday Experts plans to double business

Homeworking agency Holiday Experts is aiming to double the size of its business by the end of the year.

Currently the agency has 50 homeworkers and managing director Mike Russell  is planning to reach 100 by the end of the year.

However Russell said that he would not expand just to be a ‘bigger’ company.

He said: “At Holiday Experts we’re about quality rather than quantity. Anyone can go on a mad recruitment drive and bolster their numbers, but if people are not making the level of money they expect to or get support from head office, they’ll soon be off. For us it’s about attracting and retaining the very best homeworkers in our sector.

“For the first 14 days of the year our turnover was up 67% compared to the same period in 2007. In these two weeks our homeworkers generated a total of £75,500 in commission, up from £45,000 last year, which is just fantastic.”

The average value of a booking for Holiday Experts has also increased 20% from £1359 in the first two weeks of January 2007 to £1634 in the same period in 2008.  Each homeworker has also been given a target to make more than £20,000 in commission per year.
