Visitor numbers are expected to exceed last year’s total when 29,291 people from 138 countries attended.
Almost 100 new companies will be exhibiting, among them British Midland Airlines, The Baltimore Area Convention and Visitor Association, Belize Tourist Board and the Mundo Maya Organisation.
In 1998 an estimated £8.8bn worth of business was conducted over the four-day event.
