Almond Resorts is hoping to build bridges with the trade having appointed Peter Hopwood as its new Vice President Sales and Marketing UK and Ireland.
The former BA Holidays buying manager, who dealt mainly with the Caribbean region, will now work closely with the trade to support the sales and marketing of the hotel group as well as raise its profile.
He will also oversee the UK management of the opening of the group’s fifth hotel, the Almond Casuarina Beach Resort later this year.
Hopwood said: “I am extremely pleased to be joining the team at such an exciting time with Almond’s fifth hotel due to open shortly.
“I look forward to working with the travel trade to continue Peter Grace’s good work and expand Almond’s presence within the UK and Irish market.”
