Director to speak on transatlantic market

CONTINENTAL Airlines senior director UK and Ireland, Mike Carter, will give a presentation on the state of the transatlantic market and airline alliances during World Travel Market.

He is a speaker at the Industry Forecast Forum event being held on Monday November 15 at Earl’s Court’s Westminster Room at 2pm. Continental has seen a big growth in its transatlantic network during 1999. As well as starting daily Gatwick-Cleveland flights this summer, the carrier has introduced Boeing 777 aircraft on its Gatwick-New York and Houston services. It is also being featured by more tour operators for 2000 on flights from London, Manchester, Birmingham and Glasgow to Newark for connections within the US.

In addition, the carrier will unveil new initiatives for agents and passenger service improvements at WTM.

These include enhancements to its European Rewards scheme for members of its frequent-flyer programme OnePass.
