Wendy Wu Tours is confident of smashing its 2017 target after passing the total revenue it made for 2016 on Friday last week.
Managing director, Laurence Hicks, who announced he would be leaving the China and Asia specialist last week, said: “Last year, we made £24 million in revenue and so had a target of £30million for this year. But we passed the £24 million mark on February 24, so it’s now looking like we will absolutely smash our 2017 target.”
He put the improved performance down to greater distribution, higher profile and an increasingly diversified product range.
Hicks added: “This is a fantastic achievement by the whole of the UK sales team to have performed this well so early in the year. It’s a great send-off for me after four-and-a-half years with the business and I am sure the good work – and results – will continue.”
