A 53% growth in long-haul traffic was the main driver of increased carryings by Norwegian last month.
Europe’s third largest low-cost carrier reported a 12% rise in overall passenger numbers in February to almost 2.1 million over the same month last year.
The load factor was up 0.7 percentage points to 86.3%,
Norwegian chief executive, Bjørn Kjos, said: “We are very pleased to see that more passengers chose to fly Norwegian in February.
“The growth is primarily driven by our intercontinental traffic, which is becoming increasingly important in the company’s global expansion.”
Norwegian operated 99.6% of the scheduled flights in February, of which 73.6% departed on time.
