London-based hotel chain Guest Hotels is to turn its five hotels into arts clubs.
Guests will have automatic access to exhibitions in the hotels as well as cultural events across the capital ranging from cabaret to indie music.
The first 1,000 members will be considered founders and will be rewarded with a free night in one of the hotels in the collection.
Chairman of Guest Hotels Johnny Sandelson said: “Until now, hotels have used art as decoration. We are reversing that concept by allowing artists to use our hotels as their showcase. I believe we are the only group of hotels in the world to give guests automatic membership of a club that brings the best of London’s contemporary arts scene to their door.”
The first two arts club hotels, the Jones and the Nest, will open this summer in Bayswater. The already established Blakes Hotel and Guesthouse West will also join the arts club initiative, and early next year the group will open The Chiswell in the City.
