Travel Counsellors adds journals and photo galleries to agent pages

Travel Counsellors can now promote their businesses using a dedicated area on the company’s new–look website.

In addition to counsellors’ existing homepages, home-based agents can post journals about their holiday experiences to help demonstrate their destination knowledge. They can also upload pictures to a gallery and use a customised map to show customers where they have visited.

The site features content on luxury destinations, city breaks and tailor–made itineraries. Integrated hotel product features for the first time, allowing customers to view a range of accommodation and locate their local Travel Counsellor for more information.

Aylesbury–based Travel Counsellor Elisa Yarkony has posted journals and pictures about a trip to Thailand and a Mediterranean Regent Seven Seas Cruise. “The new–look is luxurious and shows customers how professional we are,” she said.

“New features on the site will give clients an in-depth look into who I am, my experience and what I can offer.“

The website includes podcast technology with downloadable destination guides by travel writers Simon Calder and Alison Rice. More than 200 destination guides are available, including information on local weather and currency. The company also plans to add customers’ testimonials to the site.

Managing director Steve Byrne said: “We have been working on the site for some time and are thrilled with its look. We are focusing heavily on driving traffic to the site to generate more business for our agents. We are now working on launching new customer websites in our overseas operations.”
