Worldchoice director Bill Pickering has been appointed to the Triton Travel Group board.
He replaces Colin Heal who handed over the position of Triton chairman to John McEwan last month and stepped down from the board.
Pickering is general manager of Worldchoice UK and managing director of Worldchoice Travel/Enterprises.
In addition, Worldchoice director and Triton board member Helen Burgess has been given responsibility for public relations for Triton.
Worldchoice UK chairman and managing director Colin Heal said: “Bill has immense experience and has been a crucial figure in Worldchoice’s progress. His commercial expertise will be a valuable element on the Triton board as well as the representation he will provide for our members.
“Likewise, Helen’s excellent communication skills make her an ideal candidate to take on the role as PR director for the Triton board.”
The merger of the Travel Trust Association and Worldchoice is expected to be completed in the next few weeks, subject to approval by Worldchoice shareholders.
