JMC sales director Dennis Wormwell has warned agents not to expect wholesale changes to its holidays despite pledges to improve customer service.
Speaking at the Midconsort conference, Wormwell said there was no plan to radically alter the traditional package holiday.
“This is not about making huge changes to the product. It is the small things that can make all the difference,” said Wormwell.
The JMC name, which officially replaced Sunworld in resort last Monday, was launched in September with promises to turn the focus on customers.
It introduced free pre-bookable seats and unveiled plans to ease the headache of the airport check-in.
Earlier in his presentation, Wormwell urged Midconsort members to embrace technology.
“We can see bricks and mortar becoming a thing of the past as clicks and mortar become more important,” he said. “But it shouldn’t be feared. We should become part of it.”
He added 1999 had been a tough year, both in trading terms and financially.
