Tzell Travel Group joins Advantage Travel Centres

One of the US’s biggest travel management companies has joined Advantage Travel Centres.

The Tzell Travel Group is the fourth largest business travel company in the US with a projected turnover of $1 billion this year. Tzell Travel Group’s new UK operation based in Holborn London, which opened in February, has joined the independent agent consortium.

As well as organising corporate travel for financial institutions and VIP concierge services for celebrities, Tzell also organises medical repatriation on behalf of insurance companies.

The UK agency has four staff headed by former Abercrombie and Kent board director Barry Whittaker.

He said: “I’ve worked for Advantage-member companies in the past and so know that the organisation stands for excellence. Being an Advantage Business Travel member gives us access to exclusive market leading rates and the support of like-minded independents.

“Combining the resources of the Tzell Travel Group, and UK Membership of Advantage, opens up enormous opportunities to us and our clients in the UK.”

Advantage director of business travel Norman Gage: “Tzell is a huge player in the US corporate travel scene and has significant international growth plans. Obviously, we are delighted that the business sees Advantage as a playing a vital part in that expansion.”
