Two CBEs were awarded to tourism and hospitality chiefs in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list.
Whitbread chief executive Alan Parker was given a CBE for services to the hospitality industry.
Whitbread operates Premier Inn, Table Table and Costa Coffee brands, as well as 600 pubs across the country.
Tourism Ireland chairman Andrew Coppel was also given a CBE for services to the tourism industry.
Meanwhile, VisitBritain director of strategy and communications Sandra Dawe was awarded an MBE for services to the tourism industry.
