Advantage Travel Centre announces conference programme

Advantage Travel Centres has announced the programme for its September conference which will be on the theme of “Success – the Only Option”.

The highlight of the three-day event in Sitges, Spain, will be the release of a state of the nation survey compiled in conjunction with Travel Weekly.

The results of the survey will be discussed in  both leisure and business travel sessions – the first time an Advantage conference will address issues for both business and leisure travel delegates.

Travel management companies will also benefit from a panel debate featuring British Airways general manager UK Richard Tams, Statesman Travel managing director Mervyn Williamson and ATP chief executive Graham Ramsey.

Aviation analyst Chris Tarry will also give a presentation on the future of the airline industry while Protravel president Priscilla Alexander will be reviewing the US TMC market.

Leisure agents in turn will be able to find out more about the common factors behind successful agencies as well as online booking trends and consumer habits.

The conference will also feature break-out sessions covering everything from financial management of your business to how best to generate press coverage.

Advantage Travel Centres chief executive John McEwan said: “This year’s Advantage conference is certain to be the best yet. We have made sure that every session offers real food for thought to members so they can go back to their businesses enthused and full of great ideas.

“Members shouldn’t forget that attending gives them excellent networking opportunities, both through our popular speed dating sessions and during their free time.

“And with Greg Dyke and Nando Parrado, who survived two months trapped in the Andes following the Uruguayan aircraft crash in 1972, as our keynote speakers we are guaranteed some truly inspiration insights into modern business and motivation.”
