Bath Travel has signed a three year deal with Travelport GDS for its Galileo desktop product.
The independent agency, which previously used the system for its business travel division only, will now use Galileo in its 70 leisure branches, air fares business, medical repatriation service and Australia-New Zealand operation.
Bath Travel Group joint managing director Stephen Bath said: “Our original agreement with Galileo had expired and so we decided to re-tender the GDS contract for the whole Bath Travel Group. This is great news for our staff as the training will grow their skills.”
Travelport general manager Patrick Lukan added: “This isn’t just about technology. We intend to work closely with Bath Travel to develop a special business relationship as they grow their operations further.”
