Leading Cruise Agents’ association seeks affiliate members

The Leading Cruise Agents association is looking for affiliate members to join as it embarks on a drive to increase its consumer profile.

The association currently has nearly 100 independent travel agent members and 15 cruiseline associate members.

It now hopes to open the association up to non-cruise companies such as airports, taxi transfer companies, ports and hotel chains.Letters are now being sent to a variety of companies to invite them to join.

As members they would be sent the LCA’s Stowaway magazine and feature on the group’s website. The Stowaway magazine would also be distributed through outlets owned by affiliate members.

Chairwoman Clare Dudley said: “We believe that if they join we can increase our consumer profile.”

Dudley said the LCA had already started working hard to improve its value and has recently doubled its membership numbers.

It also now includes around 100 cruise agent offers in its Stowaway magazine, out three times a year, and has increased the number of offers on its website. “It’s never been a better time for agents to be part of the LCA,” claimed Dudley.
