MARCUS Hearn has launched an annual travel insurance policy for anyone who works in the travel industry.
Branded Insurance Personnel Travel, the policy allows any number of trips worldwide up to a maximum 31 days and covers both leisure and business travel to take into account the number of overseas conferences that agents have to attend each year. Director Barry Fitzsimons said:”We felt it was time professional people in our industry had an annual travel policy designed for their needs.”
The policy includes up to £2m for medical expenses, £1,500 for cancellation and curtailment, and £1,500 for baggage. It costs £45 per person, or £60 to add a spouse. Family cover is £75. Premiums are net of commission but include Insurance Premium Tax. “It will definitely save money for anyone taking more than two foreign trips a year,” added Fitzsimons.
