Cyprus saw a bumper summer with tourist numbers from the UK rising in both July and August.
British travellers to the island grew by 6% year-on-year in July to 176,880 and by 7.9% in August to 185,831.
Travel from the UK to Cyprus in the first eight months of the year was up by almost 8.6% to 874,055.
Total visitor arrivals in the January to August period reached 2.5 million against 2.2 million a year earlier.
Cyprus Tourism Organisation UK director, Orestis Rossides, said: “Tourism is an important sector for Cyprus and we’re proud to announce that 2017 is on track to be another record-breaking year.
“Our longer-term goal is to reach six million global tourist arrivals by 2030 and we are committed to supporting this strong growth with the necessary infrastructure.”
