The operator also honoured two of its own employees. Andy Tart from Carrier’s agency sales team was awarded Unsung Hero, while travel agent Andrea Redwood was presented with an award for her long service with the company.
Head of trade partnerships Lee Marshall said: “Our annual awards ceremony is the absolute highlight of our event calendar. It’s a celebration of our incredible community, comprising our most cherished agent partners from all across the UK and our product suppliers.
“These relationships and connections are at the heart of everything we do, and it’s our opportunity to say a heartfelt thank you for the loyalty and friendship that Carrier is privileged to enjoy.”
As well as the ceremony, dinner and supplier showcase, Carrier revealed its latest charity partnership with Samburu community-owned Retiti Elephant Sanctuary, based in northern Kenya.
Guests who donated to the charity had the opportunity to win a three-night twin-centre stay at Sarara Ecolodges in northern Kenya worth more than £6000.
The event raised £1800, with Carrier pledging to donate a further £1000.
Managing director Natasha Towey said: “It’s been a real honour to have Retiti Elephant Sanctuary as our charitable partner for this year’s A-List Awards. At Carrier we recognise our responsibility to help protect the habitats, cultural sites and communities that we see on our travels.”
During the event, Carrier also unveiled details of its next overseas Retreat which will take place at Forte Village in Sardinia this June.
