BRITISH Regional Airlines is to expand its Southampton operation with the launch of a daily service from the airport to Frankfurt.
The new link, which launches on January 10 next year, will be Southampton’s first direct air service to Germany.
Commercial director Mike Bathgate said:”This new route has been prompted by the commercial demands of business people on the south coast who want this air link because Frankfurt is such an important place to do business.”
The service will operate daily except Saturday with economy and club-class cabins and return fares start at £128. British Regional Airlines is expanding its daily Southampton-Dublin service to thrice-daily from January 4. It will also operate an extra flight on Sundays, giving travellers a choice of two departures for the first time.
