A former British Airways veteran was today confirmed in the permanent role as finance chief for Flybe.
Ian Milne will assume the role of chief financial officer on a permanent basis from November 1 after taking on the position on an interim basis since August.
Former chief financial officer Philip de Klerk left the regional carrier at the end of September.
Milne had a 20 year career at BA/International Airlines Group, culminating in serving as IAG’s group financial controller and BA’s integration director. He left IAG in 2016 to set up his own consulting business.
CEO Christine Ourmieres-Widener said: “I am delighted that Ian is joining Flybe on a permanent basis. He brings a wealth of aviation industry experience along with strong financial management expertise.
“Ian has already made a positive impact on the business in the short time he has been working with us and I am confident that he will make a great contribution to both the Board and the Executive team in the future.”
Milne added: “This is a great opportunity to join Flybe at an exciting time in its development.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Christine and the Flybe team over the last six weeks and I am looking forward to working with them on a permanent basis.”
