Travel add-ons specialist Holiday Extras claims to have broken sales records over the summer.
A record turnover peak of £1.96 million in just one day was achieved on July 31 alone when the company superseded its own retail parking record.
No other figures were disclosed as the firm reported a “significant year-on-year rise in revenue” and delivered “unprecedented peaks” in bookings.
The July high point beat January 31, the company’s traditionally busiest day for turnover.
Holiday Extras broke revenue records for individual categories within its travel extras range on at least 27 occasions over the summer.
Growth has come through many of its major partners throughout the year, with Tui, Thomas Cook and Love Holidays all adding airport parking into their booking processes and strong growth across many of the agency consortiums, particularly Advantage and the Travel Network Group.
Head of partnerships James Lewis said: “Despite the many challenges we have faced this year we have continued to grow, which is pretty remarkable when you consider what has been thrown at the travel industry.
“We are delighted with some of the performances of some of our key partners; it really proves that with a bit of investment the returns can be very exciting, when products are offered at the right times.
“There is still more in the pipeline to come this year so we hope for a very strong finish to 2017. “
