German low-cost carrier Eurowings has expanded its network from the UK with a new connection from Heathrow to Salzburg.
Flights will operate twice weekly on Wednesday and Saturdays using 180-seat Airbus A319 aircraft.
The airline already operates flights to Cologne, Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Stuttgart and Berlin from Heathrow.
The airport’s airline business development director Simon Eastburn said: “As ski season approaches, we’re delighted to welcome this new flight to Salzburg with Eurowings, an exciting winter destination for passengers looking for a winter holiday.”
Eurowings network development and airport relations manager Ivan Orec said: “The new link to Salzburg will operate twice a week in addition to our five routes from Heathrow.
“We will continue to grow our network and to bring more passengers to Heathrow airport.”
Salzburg fares start at £44.99 one-way including taxes and charges.
