Bristol delays after BMI Regional aircraft comes off runway

Major delays were being reported at Bristol airport after an aircraft came off the runway on landing.

The Bmi Regional Embraer 145 with 25 people on board left the runway while taxiing.

“Passengers were disembarked and returned to the terminal by coach,” the airport said. “None of the 25 people on board were hurt.”

The incident occurred after the aircraft had landed this morning on a flight from Frankfurt.

The airline said: “Bmi can confirm that today at approximately 11.36am, flight BM1822 from Frankfurt to Bristol had an incident at Bristol airport.

“All 22 passengers and three crew aboard the Embraer 145 jet disembarked safely with no reported injuries. Emergency services attended as a precaution.”
