Police are hunting three men after a Tui store in Liverpool has had its window smashed with a crowbar in an attempted robbery.
The men fled the Bootle New Strand Shopping Centre before officers arrived at the scene shortly after 9.25pm on Thursday night.
Nothing was stolen from the store, one of 600 in the Tui store network that were recently rebranded – including shop signs – from Thomson to Tui. It was closed at the time.
A Merseyside Police spokesperson told the Liverpool Echo: “We were called to the scene at around 9.25pm to reports that three male offenders were attempting to smash the shop window with a crowbar.
“The offenders made off from the scene before officers arrived but it is not believed that anything was taken from the travel agents.
“Enquiries into this incident are ongoing and we would ask anyone with any information to contact police on 101.”
