Best dressed agents at Travel Weekly Southeast Agent Excellence Awards

Travel Weekly picked out the best-dressed travel agents and attendees at this year’s southeast agent excellence awards at The Troxy in east London.

Chelsea Johnston’s stunning outfit (below left) was hand-made by designer Ku. With a Marc Jacob’s bag, shoes from ASOS and jewellery from Claudia Pink, Chelsea was enough to blow even the credit-crunch blues away.

Ironically, the agent hails from Huiton in Liverpool, where she works for The Co-operative Travel. She took just an hour to get ready.

The days when dressing according to mum’s recommendations resulted in embarrassment are clearly long gone – as demonstrated by Emma McFarland (above right), one of The Co-operative Travel’s chic contingent from its Leeds Kirkgate branch.

“It’s from Morgan, I think my mum bought it for a dinner and dance last week,” said Emma. It took an hour for her to put together the look, which also comprised bangles, earrings and necklace from Top Shop, shoes from Faith and a Ted Baker watch.

Dawna Brown, from Global Star Travel in Bromley, Kent (below right), not only picked up the prize for Best Manager Small Agency, she was also a winner on the fashion front with this Julian McDonald dress.

The bag is her mum’s and the earrings are her sister’s. It took two and a half hours for her to get ready – worth every minute.

Mia Austin (above left), from the Heswall branch of The Co-operative Travel in Liverpool, got this gorgeous get-up from Monsoon – via her mum. She couldn’t remember where she sourced the accessories but proudly pronounced it took just 20 minutes to get ready to party.

You would never believe it, but Nicole Collett (below left) had spent the whole day at World Travel Market – the show she helps organise as marketing assistant for Reed Exhibitions.

Her dress is from Principles, shoes are by Morgan, earrings from Accessorize and necklace from House of Frazer.  Again – just an hour to look perfect, from top to toe.

Kelly Lowden (above right), from The Co-operative Travel in Mirfield, got this delicate and pretty dress from Jane Norman and her bracelet was a gift. It took her around an hour to get ready.
