A strike by pilots at Air France entered its fourth day on Monday, with the carrier expecting to operate no more than two-thirds of its long-haul services from Paris and about one in two medium-haul flights.
The pilots plan to return to work later today, with the carrier hoping long-haul services will be close to normal from tomorrow. Air France partner KLM is not affected.
The strike was called in response to an extension of the retirement age in France and marked the start of more than a week of union action across the country. Train drivers are due to strike from Tuesday.
Air France descibed the strike as “unnecessary”.
