Hundreds of travellers will have their flights disrupted tomorrow by a 24 hour strike by air traffic controllers in Greece.
British Airways has cancelled seven flights between Heathrow and Athens and Gatwick and Thessaloniki tomorrow. Passengers on these flights can rebook on the same route for no additional cost or have their money refunded.
Easyjet has cancelled eight services to Athens and Thessaloniki and is offering alternative dates or a refund. Aegean Airlines, which runs a London Stansted to Athens service, has also cancelled all flights.
Airport staff will begin the strike at 10pm tonight as part of a general strike over the government’s economic policy. The news comes as rioting continued for a third day day across Greece, triggered by the shooting of a teenage boy by police.
