Matt Walls has been promoted to general manager at TravelSupermarket.

His new role at the travel comparison website comes a year after he joined the business as marketing director.

Walls spent 13 years at and Expedia Group where he had responsibility for both online and brand marketing across over 30 European points of sale.

He also managed the integration of HotelClub and Venere onto the platform.

Walls earlier worked for British Airways and former KLM-owned low cost airline, buzz.

In his new role he will have overall responsibility for TravelSupermarket across commercial, product, technology and marketing.

Walls said: “I am really looking forward to getting stuck into the new role and building on the success that has been achieved in recent years.

“We have a strong plan to improve both customer experience and partner productivity during 2018, as we look to build on our position as the UK’s market leader in holiday price comparison.”
