Record number of Travel Counsellors achieve firm’s ‘Gold’ standard

A record number of Travel Counsellors have achieved the firm’s ‘Gold’ standard award reserved for the highest performing agents.

The total number of ‘Gold’ members is up 11% in the last 12 months, rising from 162 to 180 this year.

The company’s 1,800 Travel Counsellors, who run their travel businesses from home across seven countries, can qualify twice a year, based on sales achieved over a rolling 12-month period.

Those who achieve the accolade benefit for a number of incentives, including being invited to attend trips, this year to Cyprus and Ras al-Khaimah.

The news follows a record start to the year for the company, with global sales reaching £77.4 million in January, up 18% year-on-year.

Gold Travel Counsellors based in the UK attended a dinner at the Titanic Hotel in Liverpool to reward them.

Global sales director Jim Eastwood said: “Celebrating the success and hard work of our Travel Counsellors is so important to us.

“The fact that we have achieved record levels of Gold this year is reflective of our on going growth and our people’s focus on providing exceptional levels of service and care to their customers.”
