Ryanair expects end of flight disruption by Saturday

Ryanair expects to return to full operations on Saturday after the widespread disruption caused by Storm Emma and the so-called Beast from the East polar vortex.

The airline had cancelled a number of flights since the adverse weather hit the UK.

It says current conditions are likely to cause further disruption at UK airports today (Friday March 2) and recommended passengers to check the status of their flights before travelling to the airport.

But the Irish airline believes conditions will ease to the point where operations will be back to full schedule by Saturday.

In a statement, the airline said: “Ryanair currently plans for a return to full operations on Saturday, March 3, while remaining in close contact with the airports and the relevant authorities. We recommend customers check the status of their flight before making their way to the airport.

“We are doing everything we can to re-accommodate affected customers and minimise disruption to their travel plans and we apologise for any inconvenience caused by these disruptions which are entirely outside of our control.”
