Advantage boss Norman Gage scoops outstanding achievement award

Advantage Business Travel Centres director of business travel Norman Gage has been awarded an outstanding achievement award in recognition of his years of service in the sector.

Gage, who is responsible for all business travel related activity across the consortium’s more than 200 business travel outlets, was presented the David Brown Outstanding Achievement Award at the Business Travel World Awards in London, where Advantage member Click Travel also picked up an award.

Gage has been instrumental in the development of the consortium’s business travel and its Focus Partnership during more than ten years at Advantage. Prior to joining Advantage, he worked at Pickfords, which later became Going Places, for 12 years. He left as business travel management manager.

Advantage chief executive John McEwan said: “The award for Norman is richly deserved. His outstanding commitment to developing the business and supporting our members has benn unwavering over the years.”

Meanwhile, three Advantage business travel agencies were shortlisted for the Business Travel Management Company in the category of fewer than 250,000 annual transactions. Birmingham-based Click Travel pipped Chambers Travel Management and Global Travel Management to take the award.
