LATAM to introduce new Europe-South America routes

New routes between Europe and South America are being introduced by LATAM Airlines.

Sao Paulo in Brazil will be served from Lisbon from September 3 and from Munich in the first half of 2019.

Lisbon and Munich will be the eighth and ninth European cities served by LATAM which has started 30 new international routes in the last two years.

Five flights a week will run from the Portuguese capital using a two-class Boeing 767.

The Munich to Sao Paulo route will be the second German destination served by LATAM Airlines after Frankfurt.

Chief executive, Enrique Cueto, said: “We continue to offer new and unrivalled travel options connecting Latin America with the rest of the world.

“In the last two years, LATAM Airlines has launched 30 new routes, including new destinations in Europe, North America and Oceania, and has also strengthened existing routes with more frequencies and connection options.”

Thirteen new international routes wee introduced by the airline last year, including Santiago-Melbourne, the longest flight in its history.
