Gemma Pinder-Davidson to swap dnata for If Only… as head of sales north

A shake up of the business development team at If Only… sees two new heads of sales roles being created, splitting the UK into north and south.

Gemma Pinder-Davidson, who spent the last ten years at Travel 2 and more recently at dnata b2b, is moving to become head of sales for the north, joining other former colleagues at the luxury trade-only operator.

Dominic Carrick, who has been with If Only… for a decade will become head of sales south from July 2.

Jorge Quibell is promoted to business development manager for the south west to further enhance If Only…’s presence in the region.

The aim is to enhance relationships with its existing agencies, establish commercial partnerships with several agents that are new to the brand and growing If Only…’s portfolio of regional and national accounts to coincide with the publication of launch of a new Caribbean brochure.

Reporting lines will also be amended as part of this restructure with all of the team including a new heads of sales reporting to business development director Tracy Docherty.

Sales and marketing director Gordon McCreadie said: “We have had a phenomenal start to our year with sales up 39% and daily requests from new agents to work with us.

“Gemma’s wealth of experience, industry knowledge and commercial acumen will be a key addition to the If Only… family.

“Dom’s drive, enthusiasm and insight will be essential factors in ensuring that we continue to increase sales and our engagement with retail partners old and new.

“Both these appointments are a clear indication of our commitment in supporting agents and will help us become the leading B2B company in the luxury sector.”

He added: “I had been planning a review of our business development team in the near future, but the news of Neil Sealy’s departure from If Only… to take up a new challenge prompted me to accelerate the plan.

“I’m currently recruiting a new business development manager for the south-east.

“We all wish Neil every success in the future and thank him for all his hard work and efforts over the last six years at If Only…”
