Advantage has signed a commercial agreement with The Holiday Team, allowing members to decide their own commission levels on holidays, flights and hotels.
The consolidator offers fares at net rates to agents giving them flexibility to set their own commission levels and potentially earn higher margins.
The Holiday Team is owned by Southall Travel, which employs more than 700 staff globally across the leisure, wholesaling and business travel sectors.
Former Travel 2 managing director Maria Whiteman joined the consolidator earlier this year on a consultancy basis to drive its trade sales.
She said: “We are confident that a combination of our great prices and availability to all major long-haul destinations plus our easy to use booking system and excellent service will be welcomed by Advantage members and form the basis of a lasting partnership.”
Advantage chief executive John McEwan added: “The Holiday Team is part of a very successful business and is gaining momentum in the mainstream market. There is no doubt that their technology for flight booking is market leading and we believe our members will value having a new player in the long-haul flight and holiday market.”
