Tenerife’s tourism chief has welcomed an expanded British Airways schedule to the island from Gatwick this winter.
Frequency will rise from eight to 13 flights a week from October 28 to March 31, 2019.
The new flights will depart Gatwick on Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday throughout the winter.
Tenerife Island Government tourism minister, Alberto Bernabé, said: “We are extremely pleased that British Airways is increasing its flight frequency from London Gatwick to Tenerife South airport this winter.
“With this being the largest capacity of British Airways seats to Tenerife in history, there has never been a better time to book your winter break and enjoy our spring-like temperatures, beautiful and varied landscape and fine gastronomy.”
