AITO appoints six new council members

Association of Independent Tour Operators members have appointed six new members to its council, bringing the total number to 19.


The new council members were appointed at yesterday’s annual general meeting of the association which was held in London.


They are Bales Worldwide managing director Mandy Nickerson, Bridge and Wickers director David Wickers, Wendy Wu Tours managing director Laurence Hicks, Cadogan Holidays product and commercial director Doug Mathieson, Chameleon Worldwide wildlife managing director Chris Breen and InsideJapan Tours Alastair Donnelly.


AITO chairman Derek Moore said: “It’s heartening to see so many new faces stepping up to the plate and putting themselves forward for council.


“It clearly demonstrates how members want to contribute to the organisation and make it even stronger.


“We have some excellent new council members with a broad range of expertise and I’m looking forward to working with them in the coming 12 months.”
