An expanded Moorelands Travel outlet has opened in Cowdenbeath, Fife.
The new location was previously an RBS bank and brings together small branches in Kelty and Cowdenbeath to create a “conceptual” flagship store.
The agency will retain an outlet in Kinross.
Owned and managed by Marie Shevas, the relocation has more than doubled the size of the original store.
Ten staff work at the new Cowdenbeath branch, which includes a foreign currency bureau as well as a private appointment room.
Shevas co-runs the agency with managing director Scott Paterson. who opened the original Cowdenbeath store in 2010 as the first member of Barrhead Travel’s Brilliant Travel division.
Linda Pyle, director of Brilliant Travel, said: “Moorelands Travel was our first managed service travel partner member and we are delighted to be celebrating their continued success with the new Cowdenbeath branch.
“Their growth demonstrates that the high street travel agency is stronger than ever – especially when, like Moorelands Travel has, you foster excellent relationships with the surrounding communities.
“We are committed to providing the support our members require for achieving business objectives and growth.”
Shevas said: “Opening such an expansive store in the heart of Cowdenbeath is so exciting – I can hardly believe how far we have come in the past seven years.
“Customer service is at the heart of everything we do. I firmly believe that clients now value exceptional and personalised service over cheap deals when considering a holiday purchase.”
