ChooseCruise is the theme of a new campaign by Clia to help boost cruise sales in the UK during September and October.

The #ChooseCruise push will also run globally by the cruise industry body throughout October.

The new initiative replaces the Plan a Cruise Month which has been run by Clia globally over the past two years.

The aim is to reach agents, consumers and media.

Clia member agents will be able to access an online toolkit to help them capitalise on the two-month promotion. This will include a marketing and PR guide, plus shareable videos and images for social media campaigns.

Special #ChooseCruise promotions from Clia cruise lines will also be accessible by agent members online at A special pack will be sent to Clia members this week.

Agents can join a number of special events being held throughout September and October, including events in Norwich, Manchester, Malaga, and two beach clean events in West Wittering and in Formby.

In addition, registration opens for Clia Conference 2019 in Southampton on September 12.

The organisation has split the two months into eight weeks which have all been given a dedicated theme which will be the focus for PR, podcast and social media.

Clia will also be producing videos and specially commissioned articles on each theme to help showcase how agents can use these experiences to sell more cruise.

Each Friday is also #RiverCruiseFriday, which will allow agents and cruise lines to showcase the on board experiences on offer in the river cruise sector.
