The winter holiday market will be discussed at a special gathering organised for members of the Travel Network Group.
The meeting is being held on November 8 at The Snow Centre in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, with 30 members already signed up to attend.
Members will receive an update on the size and scope of the winter market and the opportunities it presents for independent agents.
The event is the latest in a series of cluster meetings introduced at the group’s conference in Monaco last year. The luxury sector, growth and HR policies and practices have been covered so far.
Membership services director Lisa Henning said: “This next cluster meeting will be all about improving members’ product knowledge of the winter market and embracing the experience of having a winter holiday as if they were consumers.
“It definitely won’t be all about ski. We will be bringing in Lapland specialists and Alaskan cruise providers, as well as other winter-orientated partners to make sure that we cover all there is to know about what winter experiences are available.
“And, to add an element of fun to the day we have secured an opportunity for members who attend to use the facilities at The Snow Centre, either to improve their skiing skills or try their hand at it as a novice.”
She added: “We are always thinking about how we help support and grow our members’ businesses and through their feedback we created these cluster meetings.
“They have already been a great way of gaining new insights into industry sectors, sharing ideas and networking. The timing of the next event will be a great opportunity for members to get prepared for the winter season,” she continued.
