Barrhead Travel has doubled its year-on-year bookings for Universal Orlando Resort.
The Scottish agency chain’s record-breaking sales makes it an official UK partner for the Florida theme park.
A joint marketing campaign helped Barrhead Travel achieve a 36% increase in room nights, 10% increase in passengers and a 111% increase in park bookings.
Sharon Munro, president of Barrhead Travel, said: “We are extremely proud to hold such a long-standing, strong relationship with Universal Orlando Resort.
“The destination plays a huge role in attracting our repeat customers as their experiences are fresh, unique and innovative and customers returning on a two, three or four-year cycle are kept enthralled and can make completely different memories to their previous holidays.
“We, too, strive to ensure each repeat holiday is unique by offering tailor-made trips combining a Universal experience with a Caribbean cruise, a USA city break, or whatever the customer so wishes.”
Barrhead Travel hosted offline promotions, online marketing and PR activity with Universal.
It included co-hosting the first-ever Scottish Halloween Horror Nights Media Reveal featuring Sam from Trick ‘r Treat.
The final phase of the campaign is underway for the end of 2018.
