Topdeck Travel recruits Anna Fawcett as global head of marketing

Youth operator Topdeck Travel has appointed Anna Fawcett in the new role of  global head of marketing.

Fawcett previously worked at VisitBritain as global influencer manager where she was involved in the launch of the tourist board’s global brand campaign ‘I Travel For…’ across 20 markets.

She has been tasked with delivering a global marketing strategy to develop Topdeck Travel’s current position in the market and with growing the brand through targeted messaging through the right channels, to the right audience, at the right time.

Topdeck Travel offers group tours for 18 to 39 year olds.

Fawcett said: “I’m excited to be joining a team of talented people deliver life changing experiences for young travellers. I’m looking forward to working with the rest of the Topdeck family to roll out the new global marketing strategy and develop exciting new products.”

Topdeck Travel global general manager Daryl Raven added: “Anna’s appointment provides Topdeck with some exceptional marketing expertise. Anna brings with her great industry experience. We’re excited to leverage her skills as we continue to grow, develop and innovate our brand and our business.”

Fawcett will also be speaking at World Travel Market’s Capture Your Youth session on November 6, where she will join a panel of youth travel experts to discuss ways to create value with customers through

Fawcett, who joined in August but whose appointment has only just been announced, has already started work at Topdeck on brand positioning, customer segmentation and customer research while implementing new booking data analysis tools.
