Former BA Executive Club head joins Saga

The former head of British Airways Executive Club has been named as a non-executive director of Saga.

Eva Eisenschimmel joins the board of the over-50s travel and services company from January 1.

She is currently chief of staff and a member of the executive committee at credit management firm Lowell.

Eisenschimmel has extensive experience as an executive and a non-executive director both in traditional brand and emerging consumer financial services businesses, including directly relevant digital technology, according to Saga.

She has held a variety of roles at BA, Accenture and EDF Energy.

“Of particular note, she was responsible for the Executive Club at British Airways, with three million members at the time.” Saga said.

Eisenschimmel was also a non-executive director of Virgin Money and chief marketing officer at Lloyds Banking Group.

Saga chairman Patrick O’Sullivan said: “We are delighted that Eva will be joining the board of Saga.

“Her all round and extensive brand, marketing and digital experience will be invaluable as we continue to invest for growth and develop the Saga brand, including Possibilities, our fast-growing membership scheme.”
